Vision Statement
At Dover Grammar School for Girls, we believe education is about much more than academic success. We are proud of our long tradition of excellence, but equally committed to nurturing kindness, respect, and compassion throughout our community. Our school values diversity and inclusion, ensuring every student and staff member feels recognised, valued, and supported. Together, we build a caring environment where courage, resilience, honesty, and integrity are developed alongside academic skills. Curiosity and open, respectful debate are encouraged, fostering a strong moral purpose that guides our students both in school and beyond. Here at DGGS, we aim to prepare our pupils and students not only to succeed but to thrive with character, confidence, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the world. Students embody this vision and values in their day-to-day interactions and values that stay with them long after they have left the school. Students who attend DGGS are happy at school and are supported in their education by a highly skilled and knowledgeable staff body. The working relationships between staff and students is testament to the maturity of our students and the role model they provide to younger students. I am extremely proud of the students at DGGS and their positive attitudes towards learning.
