Primary Enrichment

A cornerstone of our educational ethos is to inspire intellectual curiosity - to develop a hunger to learn and a desire to share knowledge with others. This aim underpins our Primary Enrichment Programme where we extend a warm invitation to primary age children to partake in enriching experiences. Through engaging workshops, interactive activities, and hands-on learning opportunities, we aim to foster a love of learning.

Primary school students have taken part in a wide-ranging and varied programme of activities on site including sporting events, workshops and extension lessons in a range of subjects, a scanning electron microscope project exploring fossils embedded in the chalk cliffs of Dover.

Each week our primary outreach science specialist teacher visits primary schools in the local area, taking experiments into schools, providing equipment and expertise to enhance the delivery of science in the primary curriculum.

A programme of Masterclass lessons for children in Year 5 offers a glimpse into the extensive academic experiences we offer here at DGGS. These masterclasses allow students to explore subjects they find interesting in greater depth, and to ignite a passion for subjects they may not yet have had a chance to study.
